You see, the Lord asks us to give up things which are dear to us, because many times those things have taken the first seat of affection. As Jesus told the church of Ephesus in Revelation 2:5, "you have left your first love!" Come join us this Sunday night as we continue the amazing story of how the Lord worked through regular old Abraham, and used him to change the world forever.

Currently at Real Life...
This week we will be studying Genesis 18: this week where we'll witness the promise of Isaac repeated to Abraham and Sarah. Last week we saw the painful, yet necessary covenant of circumcision, which God commanded Abraham to keep. We saw how God desired to have Abraham's heart, and just like with you and I, God must have that which is most precious to us, in order to have our sole affection. Deuteronomy 30:6 says, "Moreover the Lord God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, so that you may live."
