Real Life Weekly
Hey all!! This coming week at Real Life we will be studying through Genesis chapter 12. In this exciting chapter, we follow the story of Abram (Abraham), as God calls him to continue his journey further into the land of Canaan. We see one of Abraham's great blunders in this chapter as he heads down to Egypt during a time of famine, in which he fails to show great leadership in his marriage with Sarai (Sarah). Nevertheless, through Sarai's faith, and submission to her husband, despite poor leadership, she is protected and blessed in the end! What an awesome study this will be!! Read ahead, and bring a friend, perhaps for the first time!! Don't fail to stay plugged in!! The branches cannot bear fruit unless connected to Christ, the vine!! See you all soon.

Real Life Weekly
Last Sunday night we studied through Genesis chapters 6, 7, and 8! 'Twas quite a big chunk to bite off, but we got through it looking at God's judgement on mankind and all the earth via the Flood. This coming week we will see how God starts afresh with Noah and his family repopulating the earth along with the animals preserved on the big boat. God's faithfulness is so amazing...that he would preserve the human race on account of one man, Noah, who walked with God. Hebrews 11: tells us that Noah was saved because he believed God, he had faith...so shall we be saved from God's great judgement if we will but believe! Noah was a preacher of righteousness 2 Pet. 2:5 says, and God's call to us is to preach to those who are perishing and know it not! How many are eating and drinking, going about the busyness of life as in the days of Noah, and have no idea of the judgement to come. May we not be those who keep their mouths shut for fear of ridicule, but like Noah stand upon God's Word, the truth handed down to us, not being ashamed of the gospel, but remembering that IT, the gospel is the power of God to save! Have a great rest of your week gang, see you Sunday night!

Overwhelmed!
God's goodness is truly overwhelming! This last Saturday at Kaffe 101, we hosted "Pure Choice", and event where we shared God's instruction concerning sexuality as revealed in His Word in contrast to the twisted view of sex in our world today. Over 100 young people from the Bay Area showed up to hear God's truth, and at least 10 High Schoolers gave their lives to Christ for the first time! Two showed up to Real Life Sunday night, and then Erica who was raised atheist received Christ as her Savior, and began a relationship with God!! God's Spirit is definitely moving here...Keep inviting friends guys, and watch and see what the Lord will do as your friends are exposed to the goodness of God, and His truth! This week we will be looking at Mark 7: at the Bible Clubs in the high schools, and Genesis 6:-7: at Real Life on Sunday. Please pray that the Lord will reap a great harvest in the youth of our region!

Forgiveness...
Jesus said in His prayer to the Father in Matt. 6:12, "Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors."...Have we done this? This week? Today? Am I in a ongoing daily habit of forgiveness? As we looked at this Sunday night at Real Life as we studied Genesis 4:, Lamech pronounced vengeance upon any who would hurt him. In fact, he declared that the person would be returned evil 70 x 7 fold!! Does this math sound familiar? It should. Jesus in Matt. 18:22 said in response to Peter's question of how many times we should forgive one who has hurt us, "Up to seventy times seven". You see, so much of the time our desire is to harbor bitterness towards those who have hurt us, done us wrong, but Jesus says that God's way, the blessed way is not to hold things against people, but to forgive, and forget! Forget about what that person did to you!! Many of us won't forgive b/c we think we're letting that person off the hook who offended us, but Jesus is telling us this truth, that we might be freed! "the truth will set you free!" When we humble ourselves, and forgive we experience healing, we are freed from anger and bitterness, resentment and malice. We aren't letting them off the hook, we're loosing the chains by which we ourselves are bound! For who or what are you holding bitterness today? Truly forgive that person, look at the cross, see Him who freely forgave us, and forget about it.
Read Matt. 18:21-35
